After Xmas holidays the market for Spanish almonds go on very strong because of the strong demand. Also, it is very difficult to find raw material from growers or from the cooperatives
There are several varieties sold out till new crop, and others will be practically sold out in a short period of time
California market is thinking about the problem with the shortage water
So, we can think that we will see higher prices till new crop. Therefore if somebody will need to buy Spanish almonds and even California almonds before new crop, probably the best decision will be to buy soonest possible.
We must keep in mind that the demand will grow in March to prepare the Easter holidays season
