The first estimates for the new crop of Californian almonds of 2014 indicate that it will be lower by about 2.5 %  than the 2013 harvest. This decrease is because of the lack of rain this year in Californian

Ref to Spanish almonds, there will be better harvest than  2013, It is expected to be between  50,000 / 55,000 , the largest production in northern Spain as southeastern Spain has also suffered from a lack of rain

It is too soon to know what might happen to prices, but we think there will be better prices than in the season of 2013

Will have to see what happens in the markets in June / July
